Ilam graduate and painter Sam Clague is the living canvas for Leo, celebrating Rita Angus’s well-known portrait of her friend and fellow artist, Leo Bensemann (Leo Bensemann. 1938), in a live performance painting for Beca Heritage Week 2016, Christchurch City Council, at the newly reopened Arts Centre, Christchurch.
