Every portrait in the importance of being was painted in oils on 45 cm x 70 cm board.
Each painting was photographed before the board was wiped clean and painted again.
The ‘animated painting’ the importance of being (part I) is made from the photographs of 1024 individually painted portraits.
Only 11 paintings remain, comprising the 3 diptych, the importance of being (part II).
